CHANCE! Almost the equaliser for the hosts, as Torosidis drifted in unmarked at the far post following a flick-on from a cross into the box. However, Handanovic makes himself big and blocks the shot.

Time is running out for Bologna, who are looking likely to fall to a fourth straight defeat in Serie A unless there is to be a late twist at the Renato Dall'Ara.

Minute
Description
81'
Gabriel Barbosa has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by D. D'Ambrosio.
D'Ambrosio showed great awareness to pick out Gabriel.
GOAL FOR INTER!!! Gabriel's done it! The 20-year-old may have just won this game for Inter. D'Ambrosio latches onto a neat through ball and plays it across the area for the unmarked Brazilian to tap home - sending the visiting fans into ecstasy.
79'
The former Sevilla man is involved straight away, but only due to being ruled offside after receiving the ball straight back following his corner delivery that was easily dealt with.
77'
Banega's agent was forced to deny speculation linking his client with a move to China during the week. The Argentine will be eager to make a valubale impact following his introduction here.
75'
É. Banega enters the game and replaces R. Palacio.
The other sees Palacio replaced by fellow Argentine, Ever Banega.
74'
Gabriel Barbosa enters the game and replaces A. Candreva.
Inter are responding by making a double substitution. The first sees Candreva make way to be replaced by highly rated youngster Gabriel Barbosa.
More disappointment for the home fans and neutrals as Verdi stands over the ball, but sends his delivery way over the bar. Another wasted opportunity for the Rossoblu!
73'
Bologna are awarded a free-kick right on the edge of the penalty area and this is a very good opportunity for the hosts...
71'
We are into the final 20 minutes at the Renato Dall'Ara and still awaiting the breakthrough. Can either side find it or are we destined for a goalless draw here?

S. Taïder enters the game and replaces Á. Nagy.

64'
E. Krafth enters the game and replaces I. Mbaye.
Bologna make their first change of the match, as a struggling M'baye goes off to be replaced by Emil Krafth.
61'
GOOD EFFORT! Perisic tries his luck with an ambitious effort from range. His left-footed strike is always rising, but is not too far over the crossbar with Da Costa beaten.
59'
CHANCE! End-to-end stuff here as Inter go straight onto the counter-attack. A dangerous ball from the right goes right across the area to an unmarked Eder, whose shot is straight at the grateful Da Costa.
57'
At the other end, Petkovic finds some space on the left-hand side. However, he wastes the opportunity to get the ball into the box, as his attempted delivery cannons straight into a defender and the chance is gone.
55'
C. Ansaldi enters the game and replaces J. Murillo.
Inter make the first change of the match with Murillo making way for Cristian Ansaldi.
53'
More promise turns to disappointment for Inter as some clever play from Candreva leads to the ball being fed into the box. It is only cleared as far as Mario, but the Portuguese international can only send his volley way over the bar.
51'
Eder stands over the ball but the final outcome is disappointing, as he sends an ambitious shot on goal way wide of the target.
50'
Inter have been awarded a free-kick around 35 yards from goal after Palacios is bundled over by Oikonomou. This is a good opportunity for the visitors to lay a marker down early in this second half.
47'
Bologna fashion the first real opening after the break as the ball is fizzed into the feet of Verdi in the box. However, the former Milan forward gets it all wrong and sends his shot way high and wide of the target.
46'
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Inter get the ball rolling once more.
45' +2
The referee blows his whistle and brings the first half to a close!
45'
There will just be a single minute of additional time at the end of this first half.
43'
Nothing comes of the corner but Inter continue to press and some space opens up for Eder to run into. The Italian international tries his luck from just outside the area, but it is straight down the throat of Da Costa.
41'
At the other end, Inter put together a nice move before working the ball into the box. However, an off-balance Palacio sees his header deflect behind for a corner.
39'
NOT TOO FAR AWAY! Dzemaili lets fly from 25 yards out with a low effort that skids just wide of the far post. That was more like it from Bologna.
37'
The last time that Bologna beat Inter came courtesy of a 1-0 victory in March 2013, when former Milan forward Alberto Gilardino scored the winner at the San Siro.
35'
It has been a decent match so far but you feel that the opening goal would certainly spark things into life as we approach the final 10 minutes of the first half.
32'
We have a slight break in play as M'baye goes down and is in need of attention from the physios. Although, the former Inter defender looks like he should be able to continue against his old club.
30'
We are still goalless on the half-hour mark at the Renato Dall'Ara. Both sides look strong going forward, but neither have really demonstrated a cutting edge so far in the final third.
27'
Verdi was one of two Bologna players called up to Italy's latest training camp next week, along with Di Francesco, and he has looked fairly dangerous for the Rossoblu so far today.
25'
Bologna look dangerous on the counter-attack with Verdi leading the charge. He lays it wide for Petkovic to whip into the box towards the incoming Krejci, but the Czech is penalised after tangling with Murillo in their race for the ball.
23'
You can feel the anticipation among the home fans rise as their team push forward in search of the opening goal. However, Inter quickly get numbers back to snuff out any potential danger.
21'
Things are getting a little bit niggly out there with a couple of hard challenges going in from both sides. It is worth noting that Inter have had a player sent off in three of their last four away matches in Serie A.
18'
Perisic is the next player to try and cause problems for Bologna, but mishits his cross straight behind for a goal-kick. The Croatian has scored in each of the two previous meetings between the sides and would love to mark his return from suspension by making it third time lucky here.
16'
Inter are turning up the pressure deep inside the Bologna half. A dangerous ball into the box from the right is well dealt with by the hosts on this occasion.
14'
Very good goalkeeping at the other hand from Handanovic, who springs off his line to prevent the onrushing Verdi from latching onto a neat through ball in behind the Inter defence.
12'
WHAT A MISS! Palacio has wasted a golden opportunity to put Inter in front! Perisic created the opportunity with a strong run down the left before firing the ball across the area, where the skipper was unable to guide home from inside the six-yard box.
9'
The Renato Dall'Ara is incensed as Verdi goes to ground clutching his face after D'Ambrosio made contact with his arm. Mr Mazzoleni did not see the incident although, judging by the replay, there was certainly no intent by the left-back.
7'
Although, it is worth noting that Inter are unbeaten in each of the last six meetings between the sides, while you have to go back to February 2002 for their most recent defeat on this ground.
5'
The hosts are taking the opportunity to settle into their rhythm and knocking the ball around at the back. They will be desperate to get back on track today, having lost 7-1 to Napoli recently before conceding three goals in the space of eight minutes against Sampdoria last time out.
3'
Inter look to get in behind straight away with Candreva chasing a long ball over the top of the Bologna defence. However, Da Costa is quickly out of goal to gather and snuff out the danger.
1'
KICK-OFF! Paolo Mazzoleni is our referee today. We're finally ready, he blows his whistle and Bologna get the match underway.
It is fourth against 14th in the Italian top-flight with Bologna aiming to end a run of three straight defeats, while Inter are looking to build on their win over Empoli last time out.
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to LIVE text coverage of the 2016/17 Serie A season! Today, we're at the Renato Dall'Ara, where Bologna entertain Internazionale. It's good to have your company.
Former Milan favourite Roberto Donadoni has made three changes to the Bologna side that were beaten by Sampdoria last Saturday, as he looks to put an end to their barren run. With Mattia Destro injured, January signing Bruno Petkovic leads the line up front, while ex-Inter defender Ibrahima M'baye comes in at right-back and Adam Nagy takes his place in midfield. Angelo Da Costa retains his place in goal with Antonio Mirante not fully recovered from injury yet.
HERE THEY COME! The teams are making their way out onto the field and kick-off is just moments away at the Renato Dall'Ara.
BOLOGNA (4-3-3): Da Costa (c); M’Baye, Oikonomou, Torosidis, Masina; Dzemaili, Pulgar, Nagy; Verdi, Petkovic, Krejci.
Meanwhile, Stefano Pioli makes just a single alteration to the Inter 11 that started their 2-0 win over Empoli last weekend as he faces his former employers. Ivan Perisic returns from a ban to support Eder and Rodrigo Palacio, who captains the side and leads the line in the absence of suspended talisman Mauro Icardi. Geoffrey Kondogbia is banned and Marcelo Brozovic misses out through injury.
We've got a slight delay to kick-off here, as one of the goal nets is in need of some repair.
HALF-TIME: BOLOGNA 0-0 INTERNAZIONALE
No goals so far following a fairly evenly matched first half at the Renato Dall'Ara, where both sides have enjoyed good spells but are lacking a cutting edge in the final third.
The players are making their way back onto the pitch and the second half is imminent.
FULL-TIME: BOLOGNA 0-1 INTERNAZIONALE
Gabriel Barbosa was the hero as he climbed off the bench to score the winner and give Inter a precious three points at the Renato Dall'Ara, as Bologna fell to a fourth straight defeat in Serie A.
That's all for today! Thank you for following our LIVE coverage of Serie A - hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, see you soon!
