A final charge from Benfica sees Mitroglou go down in the area, but Atkinson correctly dismisses the Greek's appeals for a penalty.
88'
M. Ginter enters the game and replaces S. Papastathopoulos.
A worry for Dortmund, as Sokratis is forced off with an apparent hamstring strain. Matthias Ginter replaces the former Werder Bremen defender.
86'
A. Schürrle enters the game and replaces P. Aubameyang.
Another Dortmund substitution sees Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang make way for Andre Schurrle.
85'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by E. Durm.
CHANCE! Dreadful defending from Benfica allows Bartra a free header on goal from a Dortmund corner. Moraes is beaten all-ends-up, but the ball clatters wide off the outside of the upright.
It was a magnificent cross from Erik Durm, at the end of a blistering run.
GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! THAT’S THE HAT-TRICK! What a move from Dortmund, as they cap-off a glittering performance with a sublime fourth goal. Durm is the creator with an inch-perfect cross, with Aubameyang on hand to slot in his third of the game.
82'
R. Jiménez enters the game and replaces F. Cervi.
A final change for Benfica, as Jimenez replaces Cervi, who missed that great opportunity at the start of the second-half.
81'
S. Kagawa enters the game and replaces O. Dembélé.
A first change of the game for the hosts. Ousmane Dembele, struggling with cramp, makes way. Shinji Kagawa is his replacement.
78'
Dortmund have slowed the tempo of this game right down, and Benfica have created little of note since the hosts netted their third. They look well beaten.
74'
A. Živković enters the game and replaces A. Samaris.
A second substitution for Benfica sees Andreas Samaris - in risk of seeing red - replaced by the more attack-minded Andrija Zivkovic.
73'
A not so-subtle pull-back from Samaris on Dembele. The Dortmund faithful appeal for a second booking for the Benfica man, but Atkinson does not bow to the pressure.
71'
Dortmund are simply controlling the play now, smothering any attempts at a Benfica comeback. Rui Vitoria must surely be looking at making more changes to try and inject some confidence into his side.

Description
68'
Benfica are still in this tie, but must score twice - without conceding - if they are to progress.
67'
CLOSE! Free-flowing football from Dortmund, as Aubameyang drifts wide before hooking a lofted cross back towards the cusp of Benfica’s area. Castro meets it on the volley, but he just can’t manage to hit the target.
65'
Ł. Piszczek gets yellow.
A cynical foul from Piszczek sees the Poland defender go into the book.
64'
Jonas enters the game and replaces E. Salvio.
A first change of the game, as Rui Vitoria reacts to Dortmund’s quick-fire double. Veteran forward Jonas comes on, with Eduardo Salvio making way.
61'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by M. Schmelzer.
GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLL!!! AUBAMEYANG NETS HIS SECOND! Devastating from Dortmund, who in the space of two minutes have surely put this tie beyond Benfica? It was another carving move - Schmelzer drilling a precise cross into the six-yard box, where Aubameyang is waiting to tuck home.
Benfica’s defence had looked relatively solid since Dortmund’s opener, but the visitors were unable to deal with Schmelzer’s pin-point delivery.
59'
C. Pulišić has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by Ł. Piszczek.
It was a fantastic throughball from the experienced defender, who timed his pass perfectly.
GOOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! That’s brilliant from Pulisic, who nets his first-ever Champions League goal with a sublime finish. Dortmund maintained the pressure following Aubameyang’s chance, with Piszczek sliding a wonderful pass into the box - Pulisic sprinting clear of his marker before lifting a deft chip over the onrushing Moraes.
58'
CHANCE! Incredible skill from Dembele, who with one superb touch takes a long ball under his control and flicks a delightful ball into the path of Pulisic. The winger’s cross finds Aubameyang, but Moraes is again on hand to make an excellent save.
56'
SAVE! Another remarkable stop from Moraes, who this time uses his face to block Aubameyang’s close-range strike. The Dortmund forward had already been flagged for offside, however.
54'
HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN!? Unbelievable goalkeeping from Ederson Moraes, who flings himself across the goal to prevent Aubameyang’s effort from point-blank range finding the back of the net.
52'
Wasteful from Pizzi, who for once chooses the wrong option. Hap-hazard Dortmund defending allowed the playmaker to pick up possession in the area, but his cross-cum-shot floats harmlessly wide.
50'
Audacious from Aubameyang, who drifts clear of his marker from Castro’s free-kick. The delivery is slightly behind him, but the Gabon forward adjusts his feet brilliantly, managing to hook the ball towards goal with a well-timed bicycle kick. Moraes was beaten, but the ball trickles wide of the post...
48'
CHANCE! What a block! A gilt-edged opportunity for Benfica, as Cervi picks up a loose ball on the edge of the area. He takes a touch, setting himself before unleashing a venomous effort that seemed destined for the back of the net, but somehow, Piszczek gets across to deflect it wide.
46'
Welcome back! Dortmund, donning their famous yellow-and-black home strip, get the second-half up and running. There have been no changes for either side at the interval.
45'
Huge appeals for a penalty now from the hosts, but there is nothing doing for the referee, and rightly so. There was a brief coming-together between Eliseu and Aubameyang, but it was outside of the area, and wasn’t really enough to force the Dortmund striker to the ground.
44'
Another silly foul from a Dortmund player, with Piszczek the culprit as he hauls Cervi to the deck. Pizzi delivers a precise cross from the resulting set-piece, which Mitroglou then sends back into the danger zone with a good header, but Sokratis reacts sharply to clear the danger.
43'
A first sighting of goal for Dortmund since the opening 15 minutes results in Pulisic - after connecting with Schmelzer’s floated cross - heading directly into the hands of Moraes.
41'
That is a ridiculous tackle from Dembele, who needs to calm down. The youngster dived in recklessly - and late - on Eliseu, and it could easily have justified a second booking. However, Atkinson keeps his cool, and the cards remain in his pockets.
39'
A needless booking for Dembele, who is cautioned for dissent after conceding a cheap free-kick, which Pizzi now stands over… Cervi is the one who delivers it, however, but his cross is a wasteful one.
38'
O. Dembélé gets yellow.
Pizzi is running the show now for the visitors, and his capability to create from deep is allowing Salvio to find space in-between Dortmund’s defensive lines, opening space up down the right for Semedo to exploit, and the hosts are struggling to cope at the moment.
36'
Dortmund’s defeat in Lisbon was their first in the Champions League this season after winning four and drawing two of their previous six games.
33'
A. Samaris gets yellow.
A booking now for Benfica, and it goes to Samaris, who had no choice but to drag Dembele down in order to stop another blistering Dortmund counter-attack. The Greece midfielder will now miss the quarter-final, should Benfica progress.
32'
CHANCE! The hosts are very nearly punished from the resulting free-kick, as Luisao latches onto an excellent cross to direct a looping header goal-wards, but Burki is well-placed to make the save. A warning sign for Tuchel’s side, though!
31'
G. Castro gets yellow.
No hesitation from referee Atkinson as he brandishes the maiden booking of the game, and it goes the way of Dortmund’s Castro. The midfielder dived in recklessly with his studs raised, and he is perhaps fortunate to escape with just a caution.
29'
Benfica have upped their game now, but Dortmund - with the pace of Aubameyang, Dembele and Pulisic up top - present a constant threat on the counter should the visitors open themselves up too much.
27'
The visitors have settled somewhat now, and having weathered the initial Dortmund storm, are playing the ball around nicely, with Pizzi starting to dictate things from deep. He slides a ball out wide to Salvio, who in turn finds Semedo. The full-back’s cross falls to Cervi, and Burki is rather fortunate to hold onto the winger’s low shot, with Mitroglou lurking in the area.
25'
Benfica have lost all of their nine away games against German clubs in the European Cup/Champions League, while Dortmund have won all four of their home ties against Portuguese opposition.
23'
That’s fantastic defending from Bartra, who gets back just in time to halt a weaving run from Salvio, who had already turned clear of Piszczek.
22'
A crunching tackle from Samaris, who is perhaps lucky to go unpunished after he clattered into Dembele, conceding a free-kick around 40 yards out.
20'
An instinctive save from Benfica’s goalkeeper Moraes, who reacts quickly to prevent Aubameyang latching onto a long ball over the top.
18'
Dortmund eliminated Benfica in the 1963/64 European Cup first round, their only previous encounter. They lost 2-1 in the first leg, but won 5-0 in Germany to win the tie. As I type, the hosts get in again, but Aubameyang had just strayed offside before connecting with Dembele’s throughball.
16'
Aubameyang's opener was his first ever goal in the knock out stages of the Champions League, in his eighth match in total.
14'
Dortmund are carving Benfica open with ease at the moment - Pulisic, Aubameyang and Dembele all causing havoc with their pace and movement in the final third, and the visitors are unable to get out of their own half at the moment.
12'
Pizzi’s cross is a good one, but despite Benfica’s appeals for a handball from the Dortmund defence, the hosts counter at pace, a fantastic pass from Aubameyang setting Dembele away. The France forward cuts in from the left before unleashing a strike at goal, but it whistles just wide.
10'
Benfica have really struggled from set-pieces so far, but now have the chance to test Dortmund’s defence from one of their own. Pizzi will deliver...
9'
Once again, Dembele finds space down the left at the culmination of a blistering run - winning a corner. The youngster whips in an in-swinging cross that Bartra challenges for, with Moraes all over the place. Fortunately for Benfica, the former Barcelona defender can’t direct his header on target.
7'
Only 30% of teams that have lost 1-0 away from home in the first leg of a Champions League knockout game have gone on to qualify (9 out of 30). However, Dortmund look set to make it 10 if they carry on this form...
4'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by C. Pulišić.
GOOOOOAAAAAALLLL!!! DORTMUND LEAD! It’s the star striker Aubameyang who has it, as he nods in unmarked at the back post after latching onto Pulisic’s flick-on.
The worst-possible start for Benfica, whose defence was all at sea as Pulisic latched onto the corner and headed into the path of Aubameyang.
3'
Some desperate, early defending from Benfica, as veteran centre-back Luisao hooks the ball out of play after Dembele had got free down the left.

KICK-OFF! Benfica get proceedings underway!
Hello and welcome, football fans! Stick right here for all the action as it happens from Signal Iduna Park, where Borussia Dortmund host Benfica in the second leg of this Champions League round of 16 tie.
Benfica head to Germany with a 1-0 aggregate lead, courtesy of Konstantinos Mitroglou’s effort in the first leg back in Lisbon.
Team news is in now from Signal Iduna Park. We’ll start off with the hosts…
Just the two changes in total from Tuchel compared to the side that started in Lisbon three weeks ago. The hosts retain a three-man defence, with Raphael Guerreiro replaced by Gonzalo Castro in midfield. The injured Marco Reus, who picked up a knock in the 6-2 demolition of Bayer Leverkusen last time out, also drops out - Christian Pulisic coming in.
TEAM NEWS - Benfica substitutes: Horta, Jimenez, Jonas, Julio Cesar, Carrillo, Zivkovic, Jardel.
Benfica boss Rui Vitoria, on the other hand, makes three alterations to his starting XI. Out go Rafa Silva, Andre Carrillo and Ljubomir Fejsa. Andre Almeida, Franco Cervi and Andreas Samaris come into the fold.
It’s a full house at Signal Iduna Park, and the atmosphere is at its typical best as Martin Atkinson leads the two sides out of the tunnel, as two former European Cup winners prepare to battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals!
Dortmund have gone unbeaten in the three fixtures since the first-leg, with Thomas Tuchel’s side netting 12 goals - conceding just twice - in that time. Benfica, on the other hand, are looking to extend their seven-game winning streak.
HALF-TIME: Dortmund 1-0 Benfica.
Dortmund lead at the interval then, courtesy of Aubameyang’s fourth-minute header. The floodgates looked like they could open as the hosts controlled the opening stages, but Benfica duly worked their way back into the contest, and could easily have restored their aggregate lead.
As it stands, this tie is heading to extra-time. However, should we have any more goals, then this tie will be wrapped up - either way - inside the allocated 90 minutes.
FULL-TIME! Dortmund are emphatically through to the quarter-finals of a tremendous treble from Aubameyang. A thoroughly-deserved 4-0 victory for the hosts on the night, and a 4-1 win on aggregate.
The tie was well in the balance at half-time, but two quick-fire strikes from Pulisic and Aubameyang respectively put it beyond Benfica, with the Dortmund striker sealing his hat-trick in the closing stages.
It’s a statement victory from Dortmund, who march on into the final eight, joining Real Madrid and fellow Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Well, that’s all from me for now. Until next time, goodbye!
