Space opens up for Salah over on the left-hand side of the Arsenal penalty area as he cuts into the box and shoots, but Cech does well to get a hand on the Egyptian's effort to tip it over the top of the crossbar and behind for a late corner.

Once again, that was a wonderful piece of play by Salah, who put the ball on a plate for Sturridge. The Egyptian has been excellent all afternoon for Liverpool and fully deserves his goal and assist.
GOAL! It's yet another for Liverpool! So much space opens up for the hosts as they cause all sorts of problems for the visitors once again. 69'
Lacazette finally manages to get a half-decent shot away for Arsenal after latching onto a downward header from Giroud at the far post, but he can't guide his strike through a sea of red shirts and fails to test Karius.

A misplaced pass from Lacazette is cut out by Can and almost allows the German to set up Mane in front of goal, but the midfielder can't quite make decent contact with the ball and ends up poking a pass into the feet of Holding instead.
65'
Karius has had little to deal with due to Arsenal's struggles in front of goal but he's been sloppy on the ball on several occasions. Once again, he holds onto possession for slightly too long and almost gifts the visitors with a chance to get back into the game.

Mohamed Salah has scored a goal for Liverpool!
Oxlade-Chamberlain breaks into the right-hand side of the Liverpool penalty area on a marauding run, but Lovren is there to poke the ball behind for a corner before the midfielder can whip a cross into the middle of the box.
GOAL! What a terrible mistake by Bellerin! The corner fails to result in a chance on goal, but it should be easily collected by Bellerin. The Spaniard completely messes up his attempted controlling of the ball and loses out to Salah, allowing the forward to fly into the Arsenal half of the pitch and towards the box before slotting a beautiful strike past Cech. Game over, surely.
55'
Two great chances for Liverpool! Monreal loses out to Salah, allowing the Egyptian to dart into the Arsenal box on an excellent run. He forces Cech into making a good save before Henderson unleashes a follow-up strike, but the midfielder's effort ends up sailing a few yards wide of the far post.

50'

We're underway once again!

40'
S. Mané has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by Roberto Firmino.
G. Xhaka gets yellow.
GOAL! It's 2-0 to Liverpool! An attempted Arsenal attack breaks down, allowing the home side to counter quickly once again. Mane breaks into the left-hand side of the penalty area and takes on Rob Holding, who stands off the Senegal international and allows him to curl a lovely strike into the bottom corner of the net.
It was Firmino who picked out Mane and set him up on the break. The Brazilian has been involved in plenty so far, and he's proving to be a real handful for the Arsenal defenders.
Xhaka cynically caught Wijnaldum off the ball in the build-up to the Liverpool goal, and he's shown a yellow card after Mane's shot hits the back of the net.
38'
Arsenal quickly come back once again and manage to string together a decent series of passes. Bellerin and Welbeck link up nicely before the latter darts towards the near post, where he's dispossessed by Matip and ends up barging the defender to the ground.
37'
The linesmen are being given plenty to do this afternoon. This time it's Koscielny who's flagged offside after slightly mistiming his run forward from a free-kick over on the left flank.

35'
The corner is just about dealt with by the visitors, allowing them to push forward on a rare foray into the Liverpool half of the pitch. Bellerin has his pocket picked by Henderson and allows Liverpool to counter-attack quickly. A low cross is swiftly fired into the middle of the penalty area and picks out Can, but he's eventually dispossessed by Granit Xhaka before he can get a shot away. 32'
Thumping strike by Mane! A looping pass forward from Henderson picks out Wijnaldum, who meets it well and nods the ball down to Mane. The Senegal international quickly shoots from the edge of the penalty area, and his rocket of a shot ends up flying just a couple of yards wide of the far post.
30'
The pace of the game has slowed down somewhat, with Liverpool confidently knocking the ball around in the middle of the pitch as they try to find a way forward. Arsenal are looking slightly more compact now, but they're still leaving little pocket of space available to the home side.
28'
A lovely cross from Gomez almost picks out a red shirt in front of goal once again, but this time it's Salah who tries to get on the end of it and is slightly too short to reach the defender's looping ball into the box.
27'
Salah scores, but it's offside! Can is left in a pocket of space in the middle of the pitch, allowing him to pick up the ball unopposed before lifting it over to Salah. The forward meets it well and then taps a low shot past Cech, but the linesman's flag is quickly raised and denies Liverpool a second goal.
25'
Chance for Salah! The Egyptian has been causing all sorts of problems for Nacho Monreal over on the right flank, where the Spaniard has struggled with several good runs forward. Another one catches him out and results in Salah getting a shot away, but Cech gets down low quickly to deal with the effort on target.
24'
The resulting free-kick is swung into the heart of the penalty area and towards a group of blue shirts, but Karius is there t punch the ball away from danger without too many problems.

20'
D. Lovren gets yellow.
Lovren becomes the first player to receive a yellow card for a slightly mistimed challenge in the middle of the pitch.
19'
And now Henderson goes close! Mesut Ozil has his pocket picked and allows Henderson to burst forward on a swift counter-attack. The midfielder flies towards the penalty area and plays a quick one-two with Firmino before shooting, but his deft chip fails to hit the target after beating Cech.
18'

15'
Sanchez cuts inside from the left flank and heads towards the Liverpool box on a marauding run. He then tries to tee up Hector Bellerin with a deft through-ball into the penalty area, but Joel Matip is there to cut out the danger with an outstretched foot.
13'
Welbeck charges down the left-hand side of the Liverpool penalty area as he tries to latch onto a hopeful pass forward, but he's well marshalled by Gomez, who comfortably shepherds the ball behind for a goal-kick.
11'
Salah almost opens the scoring! A lovely pass is fizzed across the face of the Arsenal goal by Can and picks out Salah at the far post. The forward only has Petr Cech to beat from a few yards out, but, somehow, he ends up poking his first-time shot into the goalkeeper's stomach.
9'
Salah sprints into the Arsenal box and almost manages to link onto a lovely pass forward from Can, but the ball into the penalty area is slightly overhit and flies just past the Egyptian's outstretched leg at the far post.

We're off!
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League game between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield.
It looked as if it was going to be the start of another long season of defensive mishaps for Liverpool when they were held to a 3-3 draw away to Watford on the opening weekend, with the Reds fighting back through Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah only to concede in the 93th minute. They performed much better last time out, though, with a slightly weakened team running out 1-0 winners at home to Crystal Palace.
They’ll now be aiming to make that two Premier League victories from as many Anfield games in what represents their biggest test of the season so far. The Reds will have been boosted by Wednesday’s excellent 4-2 win against Hoffenheim, a result that sent them through to the group stage of the Champions League for only the second time in eight years.
Despite being just two games into the new season, there are already murmurs of discomfort surrounding Arsenal after last weekend’s disappointing defeat away to Stoke City. The Gunners weren’t at their best on the opening day of the season but nonetheless did well to see off Leicester City in a thrilling 4-3 victory, but they were brought crashing back down to earth last time out with a lacklustre performance at the Bet365 Stadium.
Arsenal struggled against top six sides last season, and today they must face a team that excelled against those around them. Liverpool won five times against sides that finished in the top six, with none of their nearest challengers managing to get the better of them either home or away.
Liverpool left with three points from both of last season’s meetings between the two sides, with a thrilling 4-3 win on the opening day being followed by an equally impressive 3-1 victory at Anfield in March. Overall, the Reds have enjoyed this fixture in recent years, with Arsenal picking up just one win from the last six games involving the two teams.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Arsenal substitutes: Ospina, Kolasinac, Mustafi, Coquelin, Walcott, Giroud, Lacazette.
Arsenal XI (3-4-3): Cech; Holding, Koscielny, Monreal; Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Ozil, Welbeck, Sanchez.
Liverpool substitutes: Ward, Alexander-Arnold, Klavan, Grujic, Milner, Solanke, Sturridge.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Karius; Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno; Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Jurgen Klopp has decided to make five changes to the Liverpool side that started the 1-0 victory at home to Palace last weekend, with the most notable inclusion being Loris Karius, who surprisingly starts in place of Simon Mignolet. Dejan Lovren, Alberto Moreno, Emre Can and Mohamed Salah have also come into the starting line-up to replace Ragnar Klavan, Andrew Robertson, James Milner and Daniel Sturridge, respectively.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made three alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with the biggest talking point being the return of Alexis Sanchez, who replaces Alexandre Lacazette. Joining the Frenchman on the substitutes’ bench are Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac, who have made way for Rob Holding and Laurent Koscielny at the back.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 2-0 ARSENAL
It's been an excellent afternoon so far for Liverpool, who have been all over Arsenal's fragile defence and, as a result, head into the half-time break with a well-deserved two-goal lead. The Gunners have looked off the pace all over the pitch, with the home side easily bossing the game in the middle of the pitch. Up front, Salah, Firmino and, in particular, Mane have been devastating, with the visitors' back line really struggling to deal with their pace and skill.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half.
FULL-TIME: LIVERPOOL 4-0 ARSENAL
The referee blows his whistle for the final time and brings an end to what has been an absolutely miserable afternoon for Arsenal. They were run ragged from start to finish, with Liverpool looking absolutely sensational throughout. The Reds were on fire all over the pitch and made life a nightmare for their opponents, whose heads dropped after the first goal went in and continued to drop increasingly lower from then onwards.
