CHANCE BRIGHTON! What a block by Alexander-Arnold to stop Brighton pulling another goal back! Izquierdo with an electric run past a couple of Liverpool players, he finds his way into the Reds penalty area and then just has the keeper to beat. However, the right-back followed his run all the way and got back to make a last-ditch challenge to prevent a goal.

65'
CHANCE LIVERPOOL! It was a poor pass by Bruno, straight into the path of Firmino deep inside his own half. Firmino plays a ball to Salah across the penalty area, he takes a touch, cuts inside and then fires a left-footed shot at goal, but Ryan is well placed and makes a good save. Brighton almost handed a goal to the visitors!
62'
Coutinho takes the resulting free-kick, with Liverpool players packing out the penalty area, however, the Brazilian decides to take it on himself and goes for goal. The effort is poor and goes high over the crossbar, not coming close to troubling Ryan.
61'
Bruno Saltor gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the game is shown to the Brighton skipper Bruno, for a rash tackle on Robertson, just on the edge of the penalty area. A very poor tackle and it could have been a lot worse for the right-back.
60'
The pace of the game has dropped back down again, as both sides look to get their breath back after a frenetic opening to this second half. It certainly has livened the crowd up, but it will surely still take a lot for Brighton to get something out of the game.
59'
STAT: Mo Salah has now had a hand in 15 goals in his first 15 Premier League games for Liverpool - more than any other player for the club, with 12 goals and two assists.
56'

54'

GOOOAAALLL! BRIGHTON PULL ONE BACK! Murray converts the spot-kick and the Seagulls have made the score 3-1 and turned it into a very interesting game now! It looked like Liverpool had wrapped up the game and were cruising to a comfortable win, but Brighton have other ideas.
50'
BRIGHTON PENALTY! Henderson is punished for a push on Shane Duffy in the box, the Seagulls appeal for the penalty and the referee instantly points to the spot. So Brighton have a chance to pull a goal back! It looks a soft penalty, with not much contact by Henderson and the Reds skipper is furious.
48'
Roberto Firmino has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by Mohamed Salah.
Will Brighton be able to respond in this second half? Liverpool don't have the best record of holding onto leads this season, their Champions League game against Sevilla being a prime example.
Salah with terrific pace to break up the pitch, he slides the ball through to Firmino who shows great composure, with a terrific finish.
GOOOAAALLL! IT'S THREE! Liverpool break forward with incredible pace following the Brighton attack, Salah sprints up the pitch and then feeds Firmino who makes a run in behind the Seagulls defence, he then slots the ball past Ryan to make it three-nil and surely that is victory wrapped up.

It was a great cross into the box and Murray got infront of his markers and tried to sidefoot the ball into the back of the net, but the Liverpool keeper did brilliantly to deny him. Now the visitors can counter...

41'
Not long to go until the break here, Liverpool are dominating possession and they look the more likely to score again. Perhaps even grab a third before half-time, whilst Brighton will be hoping for the whistle now before anymore damage can be inflicted.
39'
Klopp has made plenty of changes for today's game and so far his selection is paying off, despite a couple of players playing out of position. However, the Seagulls haven't tested them too much, despite playing well for the opening 25 minutes of the game.
37'
STAT: The two sides have met in six cup competitions since their last league meeting in 1983, with Liverpool winning four times - including by 6-1 in their most recent encounter, which was an FA Cup fifth-round match at Anfield in February 2012.
34'
The Liverpool supporters are in fine voice now, what a couple of minutes by their side! Liverpool look lethal on the break and that was proved correct with the second goal. Another goal from the Reds before half-time would surely wrap up the victory and three points.

30'

We've reached the half an hour mark here at the Amex, neither side have created a mass of goalscoring opportunities but Liverpool are dominating possession here.
Coutinho lofted the corner into the box, into a great area and Can made himself free and powered his header into the Brighton goal.
GOOOAAALLL! LIVERPOOL LEAD! Emre Can powers a header past Mat Ryan and into the back of the net from a corner-kick to give the Reds the advantage. It was poor marking by Brighton, the make-shift centre-back was given far too much space and he simply couldn’t miss from there, with Ryan having no chance of saving it.
28'
Brighton paying close attention to the Salah today, making sure they get players around him as soon as he gets on the ball, in an attempt to decrease his influence on the game. The Egyptian has already scored 12 goals this season and he leads the Premier League goalscoring charts.
26'
One of Brighton's biggest downfalls this season has been their lack of goals, with just 13 in 14 games, they are drawn a few games and a lot of those have been at home against teams in and around them in the table. Their only defeat at the Amex so far has been at the hands of Manchester City.
24'
Despite all of their possession, Liverpool are failing to create anything in the final third and they need to inject more pace and creativity in that area of the pitch, as it all looks pretty comfortable for Brighton at the moment. However, one lapse of concentration could instantly change that.
22'
STAT: Liverpool have been impressive away from home this season, but their 3-0 victory at Stoke on Wednesday was their first league away clean sheet of the season. Plus, away matches involving Liverpool have produced a league-high 31 goals.
20'
Liverpool are unbeaten in five league matches, winning four and scoring 14 goals and they are constantly pressing forward this afternoon. However, they will certainly need to be aware of Brighton's threat going forward, Murray's chance being a fine example of that.
17'
It's a sell-out here at the Amex and the packed crowd are certainly making their voices heard at the moment, especially with their side defending so well in the opening period of the game.
CHANCE BRIGHTON! Murray is picked out in the penalty area, just a couple of yards out and he finds a bit of space between his two Liverpool markers, turns and fires his shot high over the crossbar! He should've done better there! Pscal Gross was screaming for the pull-back from Murray on the edge of the area, he was in acres of space for a shot.
16'
Liverpool dominating possession, pushing their wing-backs high up the pitch, but Brighton are playing a good pressing game, closing down the space quickly and making Liverpool go through the centre of the pitch, the area where the Seagulls have packed with blue and white shirts.
14'
STAT: Brighton are unbeaten in six Premier League home games, with the last four all ending in draws. However, they have won only one of their last five league matches, sitting 10th in the table.
12'
Liverpool patiently probing here, playing the ball around the pitch nicely, waiting for an opening to appear in this Brighton defence, but the Seagulls look comfortable at the momen, happy to sit back and soak it up.
10'
The two Liverpool wing-backs are playing very high up the pitch, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are camped inside the Brighton half, constantly pushing onto the Seagulls full-backs, which may start causing problems for the hosts as they try to deal with the threat through the middle, of Salah, Firmino and Coutinho as well.
8'
Brighton do well to win the ball back in the Liverpool half, but their composure lets them down as a couple of passes go astray and Liverpool have the ball back and look to push forward once again.
5'
Both teams struggling to keep possession so far here, it has been a fast and exciting start to the game, going end-to-end at the moment. Brighton initially did well going forward themselves, but Liverpool broke forward quickly on the counter-attack and Mo Salah won a corner for the Reds. Philippe Coutinho takes the set piece which is met by Roberto Firmino, but he fires his header over the crossbar.
3'
It looks like Liverpool may be lining up with a three man defence, with Dejan Lovren, Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum currently occupying those central positions. Lovren is likely to be marking Glenn Murray for most of the game, with the others pushing forward into midfield as much as possible.
2'
Head-to-head: The two sides played out a 2-2 draw the last time they met in a top-flight fixture, at Brighton's former Goldstone Ground stadium back in March 1983.

We're underway!
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Premier League clash between Brighton and Liverpool at the Amex Stadium.
Liverpool can move into the top four with victory at Brighton this afternoon. Since the 4-1 defeat at Tottenham at the end of October, Jurgen Klopp's side have turned their league form around, having picked up four wins from their last five games, including a 3-0 victory at Stoke on Wednesday evening.
The visitors start the weekend in fifth and three points at the Amex Stadium will lift them, at least temporarily, above Arsenal, who host Manchester United in today’s late-kick off game.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Brighton also start the weekend in the top half of the Premier League table, having lost just one of their last seven Premier League games, including last weekend's narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile Brighton, make two changes from their goalless draw with Crystal Palace. Gaetan Bong comes back in for Markus Suttner, with Izzy Brown replacing Jose Izquierdo.
Klopp makes six changes to his side that beat Stoke on Wednesday, with Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Alberto Moreno all out of the squad and Sadio Mane, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke dropping to the bench. Into the starting line-up come Andy Robertson, James Milner, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Mo Salah.
The teams are out here at the Amex and kick-off is just minutes away! Stay tuned for all of the match action!
HALF-TIME: BRIGHTON 0-2 LIVERPOOL
After a good start to the game by Brighton, they were eventually opened up by Liverpool who have dominated possession and controlled the majority of the game. Emre Can powering a header past Ryan to give the Reds the lead, before Firmino doubled their lead just 79 seconds later after a lethal counter-attack. Liverpool now in complete control and it will take something very special for Brighton to get anything out of this game now.
FULL-TIME: BRIGHTON 1-5 LIVERPOOL
Brighton continued to press for another goal, but Liverpool controlled the game and Coutinho wrapped off a superb individual performance with the fourth Liverpool goal, before his shot was headed into the back of the net by Dunk late on to make it five to the visitors, who move temporarily into the top four.
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Liverpool thrash the Seagulls 5-1 at the Amex Stadium, despite a good performance by the hosts, but they have been undone by a quality and superb attacking side. Can and Firmino scored within 79 seconds of each other in the first half to give the Reds a two-nil lead at the break. Brighton came flying out of the traps after half-time, but were punished on the counter by Firmino, but just minutes later they pulled one back after a soft penalty which was converted by Murray.
