Danilo and Stones play it between each other with eight seperate passes before pushing it back to Bravo; he knocks it out as the clock ticks over and the referee blows for full-time!
90' +2
City seem content to pass it around midfield and play the rest of this game out. Burnley are frustrated by the tactics; but there's nothing they can do other than try to pin the Blues back in their own half and force the error.
90'
Vokes caught offside in the box now, as he takes a Barnes ball in on the left edge. Three additional minutes on the way.
88'
Back-to-back throw-ins now, deep in City territory, for the Clarets, with Hendrick turning the latter into the box. Fernandinho clears, and the Blues counter to deny Burnley a second bite at the goal-line.
86'
Barnes sees his latest effort forced out as he is pinned back by Stones and Otamendi. Moments later, Stones has to clear a free-kick lofted in by Hendrick for good measure - Burnley won't go down without a fight.
84'
There surely are some positives - especially from the first half - to take away for Burnley today. They remain seventh in the Premier League of course, and with five first-team players absent this afternoon, they have matched City blow-for-blow for long periods here. Even now, with a handful of minutes left on the clock, they're still chasing goals.
82'
Bernardo Silva has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by L. Sané.
Sane gets the assist, but really it is the work of Kevin De Bruyne, who lofted the long ball to the former with a fantastic cross.
That's the game for certain! City make it four, as Bernardo Silva strokes a Sane flat cross from the left into an empty net, with Nick Pope having been pulled out wide to deal with the latter and wrong-footed by the German. It's a harsh scoreline on the visitors who have been far better than the result suggests.
79'
Bernardo Silva enters the game and replaces S. Agüero.
Sergio Aguero departs as the final change for City - Guardiola keen to preserve his double goalscorer ahead of an EFL Cup semi-final in midweek. Bernardo Silva is the man who replaces him.
78'
Sterling thinks he has a golden chance for City to get their fourth goal; instead, he is pulled up by the linesman's flag as Silva plays him forward.
76'
K. De Bruyne enters the game and replaces İ. Gündoğan.
... whilst City introduce Kevin De Bruyne to replace Gundogan.

Description
75'
J. Walters enters the game and replaces J. Guðmundsson.
A pair of changes now, with Burnley bringing on a fourth striker in the shape of Jonathan Walters, to replace Gudmundsson...
74'
Hendrick is caught by Silva on halfway and crumples to the ground clutching his knee. There looked to be little contact and the City captain is down next to the Burnley man in a flash, as play comes to a halt around them.
72'
K. Walker enters the game and replaces O. Zinchenko.
The Blues make their first change now; Zinchenko is off and Kyle Walker is on.
71'
L. Sané has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by David Silva.
Silva was the man with the through ball that slit open Burnley's defence, allowing Sane - who has underperformed for the most part today - to score what is surely the winner for the hosts.
Is that the game right there? Leroy Sane scores for City, slotting a neat through-ball under the feet of Pope into the bottom right corner from a few yards out on the left. It's typical football from the Blues under Guardiola - and it looks like it might have put an end to Burnley's hopes too.
69'
J. Cork gets yellow.
N. Wells enters the game and replaces J. Cork.
Cork is acutally leaving the field now, as Nakhi Wells arrives for Burnley to try and find a leveller in the first change of the day.
Jack Cork gets a booking now, as he tangles with David Silva, hooking his arm around the latter to try and pull him off the ball. It's clumsy, and frustrating for the Clarets as they had a free-kick to the hosts.
67'
Vokes chases a Cork long ball, heading down the right flank; Zinchenko holds him off enough to see it out for a goal-kick.
65'
It's a long effort defused by Otamendi - and then Sterling earns a free-kick off a Long challenge, much to Sean Dyche's anger on the touchline. The Burnley boss was unhappy with the free-kick given against Barnes that led to City's first goal - needless to say, he was even more displeased by the subsequent score.
64'
Burnley earn a corner now, as Barnes sees his header put out by Stones. Gudmundsson to take from the left...
62'
Sane! City catch Taylor out at the back with Sterling, who crosses in with a low ball. Pope bobbles it back out, leaving a mostly open goal - and instead, the German skies it over the crossbar from six yards out. That could have been the game there.
60'
Barnes comes up on goal from the restart almost straight away, catching City's defence out now with a superb run. He plays onto Vokes in the box - offside! Replays show it's a fractional call; the striker is only out by a fingernail.
58'
S. Agüero has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.
Assist İlkay Gündoğan
City score again! Two goals for Sergio Aguero in three minutes, to turn this game absolutely on its head. It's a brilliant, trademark one-two for City, between Gundogan and Aguero again, slipping the latter in behind Long and with just Pope to beat. The Blues man takes two steps inside from the left, and slots it under the keeper to give the hosts the lead to a deafening roar. The Etihad is bouncing; City have stunned the Clarets.
57'
A. Westwood gets yellow.
Westwood concedes a yellow card now for a reckless challenge on Sterling from the restart and City play deep into the Burnley half at speed again.
56'
S. Agüero has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.
Very smart play from Gundogan there; he saw that the Burnley backline was taking its time and played the last thing they expected him to do in a short pass away for Aguero.
...and one which they ruthlessly exploit! Gundogan plays a flat ball through with Burnley sluggishly still structuring their backline - and Aguero tears forward to poke it under the keeper Pope. City are right back in this game!
Barnes concedes a free-kick only 25 yards out on goal, just on the right, after fouling Danilo. It's a great position for City...
54'
Much better from City now as Gundogan slips into the box on the left, runs close to the touchline and then curls back in for Sterling, instead finding Long who hacks it away for a corner. That clearance could have gone anywhere; Burnley rode their luck with that one.
52'
Sane is having an absolute nightmare this half with his crossing, this time slicing his effort aimed for the six-yard box and Aguero way out and into the stand behind.
51'
Barnes lofts a shot from distance over the crossbar and Bravo's reach, having caught the City backline out of position. It's a tame effort in the end, albeit one you can't blame him for trying.
49'
Danilo gets yellow.
A hefty challenge on Taylor by Danilo, right in front of Dyche, leaves the Clarets boss hopping mad. It's a dangerous, reckless slide - and the City man is duly booked.
Sane overcooks his latest cross, sending it way over the heads of Silva and Aguero in the box as it skitters away to the right wing and Taylor, much to the frustration of the Blues man.
48'
Vokes nearly wrongfoots Otamendi with a neat flick-on from Long; the Welsh international can't control his second tap though and Bravo collects.
47'
Sane slots a through-ball at speed in from the left, looking for Silva to meet it in the box - instead, he skews the angle and scuffles it out for a goal-kick to jeers from the home crowd.
46'
We're back underway at the Etihad Stadium; can City claw their way back into this game to preserve both their home and cup record? Or will Burnley hang on for an upset?
45' +1
The Clarets earn a late throw-in which Lowton is in no hurry to take - and just as City reclaim the ball and look to counter, the referee blows for half-time.
45'
Two hefty challenges, first from Sane and then from Fernandinho on Cork and Westwood, give Burnley back-to-back free-kicks. One added minute to come...
43'
Can City find a goal for their efforts before half-time? The Blues have had 11 shots so far; but none on target.
41'
Silva makes a delightful run, cutting through the back and playing a one-two with Sane to get into the Burnley box - and the inch-perfect slide from Lowton to take the ball away from him is just as delightful too.
39'
This has been a fine performance from Burnley - arguably their best since Old Trafford in fact - and they deserve to be ahead as we near half-time. Taylor appeals for a free-kick having gone down under Stones; none is forthcoming and City counter again.
37'
Corner again to the hosts as captain Mee once more puts out an early Sane cross rather than take the risk. It comes back out for Zinchenko after Fernandinho's header goes awry - and the left-back just tips it over the crossbar onto the top of the goal netting.
35'
Lowton is the man to snuff out the immediate chance this time, meeting City's corner as first man - but Burnley can't get the ball out of their own half until Pope blasts it out for a throw-in on the midway mark after Aguero has a sniff.
34'
In the end, it's a poor delivery from Gudmundsson, claimed by Bravo, who then hacks it long for City to counter. Sane finds it at his feet and shoots as he careers doggedly into the left side of the Burnley box; Long deflects out for a corner.
33'
Free-kick again for the visitors now, as Zinchenko brings down Barnes on the right flank - and Burnley are only 25 yards out, level with the edge of the box...
31'
Free-kick to the Clarets just inside their own half after Aguero leans Vokes; Stones manages to clear Long off the ball deep on the left and stymie any danger.
29'
There's a moment of peril in the box for Burnley again, as Silva prowls in - ultimately, he plays back to Fernandinho for a better shot, with the Brazilian hefting the ball way over the crossbar and into the stand behind.
28'
Gundogan! City almost bring it back to level pegging as the midfielder blasts a half-volley from ten yards out on the right, deflected away for a corner by Taylor.
27'
There's a long way to go yet, of course - and Burnley themselves squandered a two-goal lead in the Premier League only recently against Manchester United to draw at Old Trafford. But Sean Dyche will be elated to get that goal, a well-deserved score for his side's composure.
25'
A. Barnes has scored a goal for Burnley!
What a mistake by John Stones - and what a goal for Ashley Barnes! Burnley take the lead at the Etihad after 25 minutes, as the City defender fails to deal with a routine goal-kick from Pope, allowing the Clarets man to sneak onto the ball between him and Otamendi. With only Bravo to beat, the winger edges into the right-hand edge of the box and slots a cool, lofted finish under the keeper's dive. 1-0 to the visitors.
23'
Burnley break through Barnes, skipping through midfield, yet the attack fizzles out when Gudmundsson can't make a clean first touch and Stones manages to wrestle the ball back.
21'
City earn a free-kick on halfway after a clumsy challenge by Westwood; the Blues pump it long, looking for Fernandinho in the middle, only to find Cork loitering around the back instead who secures possession.
19'
It's a speedy counter-attack from City too, and Sterling looks like he's got it all wrapped up on the right 20 yards out. Instead, he crosses back in for Aguero - and in the moment it takes to set up his strike, Mee has managed to get back and deflects the ball wide and back into open play.
18'
What a sitter of a chance for Burnley! The corner is turned in from the right flank to perfection, meeting Mee at the far left post who heads back across the face of goal for Barnes to tap in - only for the left winger to entirely fluff his attempt, allowing Stones to cut in and whip clear.
17'
Burnley get a corner now themselves, after Claudio Bravo puts a ball out under pressure from Hendrick. Nervy at the back, perhaps?
16'
Aguero puts it straight into the wall in the box, headed back by Taylor, and Zinchenko then blasts over the crossbar with a second effort 25 yards out on the left.
15'
Free-kick to City now - 19 yards out, dead in front of the Burnley goal, on the edge of the box. Aguero took the hit from Long, aiming to milk the penalty - only to mistime his contact. Still, we know the Blues can score from here all day long...
14'
Now Aguero puts an effort wide, under pressure and at distance on the right from Mee. Burnley looking a little more loose around the back all of a sudden though.
12'
Sane pulls a horrible shot across the face of goal from the left flank after sprinting onto a neat Otamendi through-ball. It's a waste of a chance from the City man and he knows it, groaning in frustration.
11'
Mee puts a smart block on Silva as the City captain breaks in midfield and cuts through the opposition half, the Burnley skipper deflecting his shot away to Westwood.
10'
Silva tries to whip it inside for Otamendi at the far post, only finding Taylor who knocks it out for a corner. The defender then stalls the subsequent attack too when City play short again, and clears without trouble.
9'
Free-kick on the right lip of the Burnley penalty area now as Taylor slides into Sterling. It's dangerous territory for the Clarets...
7'
Sean Dyche has never really delivered in the cup for Burnley before, but his side are looking just as dangerous as their opposition in these early exchanges, as Bravo clears a through-ball tracking wide of Vokes just inside the box.
5'
Burnley earn a throw just inside the City half on their right flank, after Gudmundsson forces Zinchenko to put it out. The visitors can't capitalise though, and the Blues manage to limit the danger to midfield.
3'
City play it short and Burnley capitalise on their indecision, with Otamendi conceding the ball softly to Westwood. The Clarets play a swift counter downfield; it comes undone at the last as Hendrick's cross forward for Vokes runs beyond the control of the striker.
2'
Now down the other end, it's Long who puts his body in the way of Sane's short cross near the left post, deflecting it out into open play. City press back quickly and this time Lowton clears for a corner.
1'
We're off! City, in sky blue and white, are playing from right to left; Burnley are in their white and claret strip on a chilly afternoon in Manchester.
Bravo gets his first taste of the action in goal as he is forced to come off his line to the edge of the box to clear a loose ball headed perilously close towards Hendrick.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the third round of the 2017/18 FA Cup as Premier League leaders Manchester City host Lancastrian rivals Burnley at the Etihad Stadium. The Clarets are in their worst slump of the season, stuck in a rut – so can they produce a return to form to stun a Blues side unbeaten in their own backyard in 23 top-flight games? Kick-off is around the corner.
The two sizes have met on three previous occasions in this tournament, in which City are unbeaten against Sean Dyche’s men – and once in the third round prior, during the 1990/91 edition, with Colin Hendry firing the Citizens through to the next round. Last season, the Blues lost after extra-time to Arsenal in the semi-finals – whilst the Clarets crashed out to non-league Lincoln in the fifth round.
Teams in now, with City making four changes to the side who beat Watford midweek, including the return of Claudio Bravo in goal. David Silva remains as captain, having featured against the Hornets.
Subs: Ederson, Silva, Toure, Diaz, Mangala, Walker, De Bruyne
MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3): Bravo; Zinchenko, Otamendi, Stones, Danilo; Silva, Fernandinho, Gundogan; Sane, Aguero, Sterling
City generally make easy progress from this stage of the tournament; they have advanced in some style to the fourth round in each of the last five campaigns, beating West Ham 5-0 (2016/17) and Norwich 3-0 (2015/16) most recently.
Conversely, the Clarets haven’t seen much of Turf Moor in the FA Cup over the past decade and a half at this stage; they have been drawn away in the third round for the 12th time in the last 16 seasons today, mustering a win in just three of those away trips (D3 L5).
City have won eight of their last 11 FA Cup games against Premier League opposition (L3), although they of course lost the most recent match 2-1 to Arsenal in last season’s semi-final at Wembley. The Blues haven’t been to the final since 2013 – when they famously lost to Wigan Athletic. For Burnley, their last visit was in 1962, where they were defeated by Tottenham Hotspur.
The teams are out and we're moments away from kick-off at the Etihad Stadium...
There's still a long way to go at the Etihad Stadium, but Burnley are deserving of their lead against Pep Guardiola's Premier League unbeatables. Sean Dyche's men have the advantage thanks to a fine Ashley Barnes goal - and his side have kept composure with some great in-the-box defending to force the Blues away from a leveller. Can they hang on for a cup upset? At half-time, it's Manchester City 0-1 Burnley.
It could have all been so different, had Ashley Barnes not conceded that dubious free-kick 25 yards out, or had Burnley formed their wall and read Gundogan's intent to bluff a pass flat to Aguero. But that first goal opened the floodgates for the Blues, who netted three more times, with three different scorers, to run out convincing, if somewhat flattered, winners against their opponents. Manchester City march on to the fourth round; Burnley's cup dreams are at an end for another year. Full-time at the Etihad Stadium, it finishes Manchester City 4-1 Burnley.
For Manchester City, knockout football is still on the agenda; they take on Bristol City on Tuesday night in the EFL Cup semi-final as they look to book a trip to Wembley, before facing Liverpool in the Premier League next weekend. As for Burnley, their winless streak goes on - but Sean Dyche will be able to take some positives into an all-important clash with Crystal Palace in seven days' time. Until then however, thank you for joining us - and have a great weekend!
